Available in 2 Group Compact, 2 Group and 3 Group configurations, the Eclipse is suited to cafes, restaurants, hotels and hospitality venues that want a high specification traditional espresso machine without the premium price tag that usually comes with it.
Unlike bean to cup machines, the Eclipse is a barista operated traditional espresso machine. Coffee is ground separately, dosed into the portafilter and extracted through the group heads by your barista. This gives you full control over grind, dose, extraction time and milk texture, which is the approach taken by specialty cafes and high end hospitality venues that prioritise coffee quality above convenience. If you want the consistency and hands off operation of a bean to cup machine, the Eclipse is not the right fit. If you want the craft and quality ceiling that only a traditional machine can deliver, it is an excellent choice at this price point.
Performance and Functionality
The Eclipse is built around soft preinfusion group heads, which allow the coffee to saturate fully before full pressure is applied. This results in a more even extraction and better flavour development in every cup. The straight anti-suction steam wands are designed for minimal restriction with no burn insulation, making milk texturing faster and safer during a busy service. Group flushing is handled at the push of a button between brews, and an automatic cleaning programme keeps the group heads and showers in consistently good condition without additional effort from the barista.
The 2 Group Compact features a 6 litre boiler and is powered at 2,800W on a standard single phase supply, making it a practical choice for venues with moderate output requirements and limited counter space at just 490mm wide. The 2 Group steps up to an 11.5 litre boiler at 3,350W, offering greater steam capacity and throughput for busier environments. The 3 Group carries a 17.5 litre boiler running at 6,350W on a three phase supply, and at 985mm wide it is a full service machine built for high volume cafe and restaurant use. All three configurations share the same 520mm height and 585mm depth.
Build and Design
All three models feature the same sleek glass panel construction, with customisable side panel inserts that allow you to add a colour or your own branding directly to the exterior of the machine. This makes the Eclipse a practical choice for branded coffee bars, hotel lobbies and venues where the machine is part of the front of house presentation. All configurations feature tall espresso groups, two steam wands and one hot water tap as standard, and all operate within a noise level of under 70dB.
